This comic book, published in 1947, was a single-issue, small-press American comic book that represents the first known comics magazine written and drawn solely by African-American writers and artists. It features stories starring Ace Harlem, Detective, and Dew Dillies, Text Story Ezekiel's Manhunt, Lion Man, Hep Chicks on Parade, Lil' Eggie, and Sugarfoot. It also includes a short biography of Orrin C. Evans and editorial explaining how everything in the book was created by "Negro artists" specifically for the book.
