Welcome, my CryptoComic Compatriots! Today we are diving back into some new artist challenges. We’ve had them before but this time, something new.
This one is pretty obvious. Take a drawing that you did as a kid and redraw it with all your knowledge and experience. Have some fun with it!
October is right around the corner. This challenge is easy, yet also hard. For every day in October, create a little drawing and ink it. All that is left is to post it online with the hashtag #inktober. Try to remember what it was like to draw just for fun and have a blast.
Yep, this one is exactly what it sounds like. Draw a picture with your right hand, and then try to replicate it with your left hand. For those of you that are ambidextrous, you have the advantage.
Take a sheet of paper and make 10 squares. Pick a different style for each and write them in each square. My suggestion is to start with your own personal style.
My Style
Disney
Simpsons
Tim Burton
Dragon Mall Z
Gorillaz
South Park
Marvel/DC
Realistic/Portrait
Powerpuff Girls
Or Steven Universe
Take 10 days and draw 100 different faces. Keep them as realistic as possible. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just done.
Basically, there are 2 ways to complete this challenge. What you will need to do is design a new character based on certain specifications. The other way to do this is take an existing character and redesign it.
Take your self portrait and turn it into a comic style. There is not much more to say on this other than it’s harder than you think.
Take another’s character and draw it in your own style. Some general rules are: set a time limit, only use a preexisting color palette, and no tracing!
We would like to see what you’ve done so tag us when you put it on Social Media. I can’t wait to see it. With all these challenges, you should be pretty good by now. Create a comic and share it in the marketplace. Don’t hold out on me.
