How Jesse "Cadre" Hansen is Defining Indie Comics

by Matthew Russell - Posted 6 hours ago

Welcome my CyrptoComics Compatriots! Jesse “Cadre” Hansen is a good friend and I am happy to honor him today.

Jesse is our Featured Creator this week, and I couldn't be more excited to tell you all about him! Let me start by saying Jesse is just awesome. He’s got this insane professionalism, but at the same time, he’s one of the most fun, down-to-earth guys I’ve ever met.

So, Frey and I first met Jesse in Florida when we were visiting another friend. We ended up having dinner with him and his family, and let me tell you, it was an absolute blast! He’s the kind of guy you feel like you’ve known forever, even if you just met him. We’ve had him on our show a few times too, and each time he brings this infectious energy. He’s always joking around but never loses that focus and work ethic that’s made him so successful.

One thing that always stands out to me is his professionalism. Jesse runs Cornerstone Creative Studios, and he is a powerhouse when it comes to getting stuff done. His work ethic is off the charts, and everyone who works with him knows they’re in good hands.

Seriously, the guy is a machine when it comes to comics, and you can feel his passion in everything he touches.

Oh, and that nickname—"Cadre"? I’ll have to ask him how he got that! The definition of "Cadre" is a small group of people specially trained for a particular purpose, and honestly, that describes Jesse perfectly. He works like he is a group of people. He's like the glue that holds everything together, but there’s probably some cool story behind it. I’m dying to know!

Anyway, make sure you check out his work on CryptoComics and show some love to this week’s Featured Creator! You won’t regret it!

Cornerstone Showcase #01

One of Jesse’s coolest projects is "Cornerstone Showcase #01". If you haven’t seen it yet, you’re missing out! It’s packed with incredible stories and art, all brought together by Jesse’s unique vision. This isn’t just your average comic anthology.

Each story feels like it’s a part of something bigger, like you're watching the birth of something epic. Jesse’s ability to showcase different creators while still keeping that Cornerstone quality really shines through in this book. It’s the kind of comic that makes you want to dive in, finish it, and then read it all over again just to catch the little details you might’ve missed the first time.

American Eagle Live Journal

Jesse’s been dropping some absolute gold in "American Eagle Live Journal"! If you love behind-the-scenes looks at how a comic comes together, this is a must-see. He’s uploaded everything from finished artwork to rough sketches, giving us a front-row seat to the creation process.

Whether you’re into character design, layout, or just like seeing how a pro works, there’s so much to take in. Every time I check it out, I feel like I’m learning something new about how much effort and creativity goes into each panel.

American Eagle #1

Now, let’s talk about American Eagle #1. This comic is pure fire! Jesse brings this superhero to life in such a raw and real way. The art pops, the story grabs you, and there’s this gritty patriotism that just pulls you in.

American Eagle is more than just another run-of-the-mill hero; he feels like someone you’d actually want to root for. The world needs more comics like this—bold, powerful, and just flat-out fun to read. And if you haven’t snagged a copy yet, what are you waiting for?

Born in San Francisco as Jordan Hayato, the young American Eagle was raised in a Japanese internment during the chaos of World War II. Taking up the mantle of American Eagle to guarantee the safety of his family, Jordan quickly established himself as a hero in the United States military

To Be Continued…
