Shaun’s path wasn’t without its challenges. Growing up, he struggled as a reader and only later realized he was a visual learner. That discovery changed everything, shaping the way he tells stories today. 

He draws inspiration from mythology and history, blending them into visually stunning narratives that captivate readers around the world. Shaun took what could have been a barrier and turned it into one of his greatest strengths, crafting stories that connect with people on multiple levels.

Shaun also understands the importance of balance. As much as he’s dedicated to his work, he’s equally committed to his family and personal life. Living in Australia (dangerous, but hey, he’s brave), he stays close to his roots, finding inspiration in his surroundings and bringing that authenticity into his stories. 

Beyond his work, Shaun is someone who lifts others up. I’ve personally seen him promote other creators’ work with genuine enthusiasm, often shining a light on their stories when he could have been focused on his own. 

He was the first person to share with me the saying, “A rising tide raises all ships,” and it’s clear he lives by that philosophy. His efforts to support and collaborate with others are a reflection of who he is—someone dedicated to the success of the entire indie comic community.

Having attended over 200 conventions across four countries, he’s passionate about sharing his knowledge and connecting with fans. Set in the year 2069, this intense series brings history’s greatest warriors back to life, pitting them against each other in a futuristic gladiatorial arena. The story follows Spartacus, the legendary Thracian gladiator, as he battles monstrous adversaries like the Minotaur and Baykok while navigating a brutal world obsessed with the spectacle of combat. Combining mythology and science fiction, it’s a fresh and action-packed take on the gladiatorial genre, filled with intense battles and dynamic characters.

One of Shaun’s standout creations is the Xtreme Champion Tournament (XCT) series, a thrilling blend of history, mythology, and high-stakes action. The series reimagines legendary figures as genetically engineered warriors battling in a futuristic gladiatorial arena. 

It’s no wonder XCT became the number-one-selling independent comic in Australia—it’s packed with the kind of gripping storytelling and dynamic visuals that fans can’t get enough of.

Terralympus: Exploring Sci-Fi Frontiers

In a future where Earth is but a distant memory, humanity's remnants survive aboard the space station Terralympus. Mia, a top engineer, can fix almost anything—from malfunctioning systems to missing pets. However, when she uncovers a hidden conspiracy that threatens the station's very existence, Mia faces challenges that test her skills and trust in those around her. Fractured Shards masterfully blends cyberpunk elements with a noir detective narrative, offering readers a thrilling journey through a fractured society.

Shaun’s talent doesn’t stop there. Fractured Shards (not yet on CryptoComics Marketplace, but we still NEEDED to show off this amazing comic), a cyberpunk noir collaboration, is a gritty and atmospheric story that explores justice and morality in a dystopian world. Titles like Talos of Sparta and Knight further demonstrate his range, showing that Shaun and Comics2Movies are always looking for new ways to challenge and engage their audience.

When Shaun invited Dan Feuerriegel, the co-creator of Fractured Shards, onto a video with us, I completely lost my cool. I’m not even ashamed to admit it—I fan-girled so hard that Frey and my kids still won’t let me live it down. They’ve practically turned it into a family joke at this point. Every time Fractured Shards comes up, I get the side-eye and some snarky comment about my “professional composure.” Let’s just say, if you ever need an example of how NOT to play it cool around someone you admire, this is it.
