Publishers have the option of making any book available in the Borrowing Library for a specific period of time.
You can find books available for borrowing by clicking on Read for Free in the Marketplace.
When you've chosen the book you'd like to borrow, select and click the button Borrow.
The Borrow button will become a Read Now button. When you select that button, it will begin the time you are allotted to read. Even if you click out of the book, the time will continue to count down.
If you want to read the book later, or if you still have time, the book will appear in your Collection. You can select the book there and start or continue reading.
Green hourglass: You haven't started reading the book.
Yellow hourglass: The borrowing time has started, but you still have time left.
Red hourglass: Your time has expired, and you will need to purchase the book to continue reading it.
